The Watcher's Guild: Sweet Nephilim Ch. 13 Pt. 2

Hey all,

Hope you all are doing well.  This has been a crazy week overall, and I'm just getting online after several days of being unable to.  But I wanted to make sure this was up and waiting for you.  So let's see what happens with Amaris and Eran next?  Enjoy!

The Watcher's Guild: Sweet Nephilim

Rolling, he disconnected their bodies and pulled her close into the curve of his shoulder.  “I was going to take longer with you.  Play with you a bit more.  But as usual, you destroyed me.”
Amaris glanced up at him, noting the sleekly satisfied look on his face.  He reminded her of a well-fed lion she’d once seen.  A gorgeous, powerful, angelic lion.  She smiled as she traced her index finger through the damp whorls of hair on his chest.  “I like destroying you.  And if you’d played any longer, I might have taken it a step further and destroyed you for real.”
He chuckled and ran a hand down her naked back.  “You dare threaten your teacher?”
“Only when he teases me into making those threats.”
Eran gave her a little squeeze and sighed.  “Soon you will be able to back up your words.”
Leaning on his chest, she put her chin in her hand.  “What do you mean?”
Combing his fingers through her tousled hair, his face went serious.  “Now that you’ve got your wings and you’ve—” he looked sad for a moment, “—said your goodbyes, it is time for your training to really begin.”
Pushing away the immediate pain of losing her family, she shook her head.  “What training?”
“Every Nephilim is trained to have a place in Jehovah’s angelic army,” he explained.  “As I told you before, you must be trained in all forms of angelic warfare.”
She glanced at the sword he’d carefully propped next to the bed.  Even in the middle of lovemaking he’d made sure he could keep her safe.  “You’ll teach me how to use that?”
He smiled.  “That one is too big for you.  I am having one made for you.  It will be smaller.  More suitable to—” he paused briefly, “—to someone your size.”
“You mean a woman.”
“If you like.  We aren’t used to one such as you.”
Amaris reached over and touched the sword.  The metal hummed and flashed briefly.  “You have a beautiful weapon.”
A laugh burst from him.  “My thanks.”
She blushed as she realized what she’d unintentionally inferred.  “You know what I mean.  Although—” she reached down and took his cock in her hand, “—I do like both your swords.”
He chuckled again and rolled her beneath him.  Both my swords thank you.  Give me another moment, and I’ll thank you properly.”
Her hand squeezed him as desire burned low in her belly.  She nipped at his chin.  “Keep this up, we’ll never get out of here.”
“I am beginning to think spending the night here would do us no harm.”
She gasped as he slid smoothly inside her.  “I-I-”  After a shuddering sigh, she nodded her head.  “I’m okay with that.”

* * * * *

It was after midnight when Eran came suddenly awake.  At first he was disoriented.  Where was he?  What was he doing in this strange place?  Then he felt someone shift and murmur beside him and reality flooded back.  He was in Amaris’ apartment, and they’d fallen asleep after several bouts of lovemaking.  But instead of easing his mind, the knowledge made him more wary.
What had awakened him?  Why did he suddenly feel so worried?  Easing off the bed, he quickly pulled his pants on, his angelic senses all but screaming at him that something was wrong.  He lifted his sword and listened, but heard…nothing.  Nothing to explain why he was suddenly as tense and aware as a warrior going into battle.
“Amaris,” he whispered, refusing to discount the concern.  God had given him these senses for a reason.  “Get up and get dressed.”
“What?”   There was a loud moan and even louder yawn.  “What?”
“Get up.  Something is wrong.”
Pushing back her hair, Amaris slowly sat up in bed.  Her face was flushed and her eyes sleepy.  “Eran?  What are you talking about?  What’s wrong?”
“I’m not sure.”  He strode over to the window and looked out.  The worry was fast turning into dread.  “I can sense—”  His words cut off and he turned back to Amaris.  Without a word he hauled her up and out of bed.
“Hey!”
“Get dressed,” he ordered.  He quickly tossed her clothes to her.  “Now.”
“But—”
“Don’t argue, Amaris.”  Eran willed her to hurry.  “We have to get out of here, now.”
“Why?” she asked as she pulled on her pants and buttoned up her blouse.  “What’s the hurry?”
A red glow flickered at the window just as the acrid smell of smoke teased under the bedroom door.
“Because, little angel—” Eran took her hand and dragged her to the window.  The sight below made her gasp out loud.
“The building is on fire.”

Now that's just wrong.  Such a special sweet time and then they're interrupted.  Hopefully all will be well, but you just never know when I write a story.  LOL  But check back next Sunday for more!

Until next week!!!

Hugs,

I'm playing catch up because I haven't had time to read them. Mom went in for surgery on the 4th of June and it was one thing after another and she passed away on the 12th of July. Thanks for sharing the stories with us CJ. I really do enjoy them.
